I herewith announce, that the European Condin takes place May, 20th 2023 near the contest QTH of DK9PY in Ruedesheim (not the Ruedesheim on the Rhine river!). The QTH is part of the city called Bad-Kreuznach https://www.bad-kreuznach-tourist.de/en. The location offers many nice hotels as well as many facilities for wellness, health holidays and spa treatments. There are several hot wells and a fabulous thermal bath, where one can relax for hours. Furthermore there is the Salinental valley along the Nahe river where you can experience saltwater inhalation as well as a sightseeing tour to the Brueckenhaeuser.

More details can be found on the Bad-Kreuznach touristic web page https://www.bad-kreuznach-tourist.de/en.

For those travelling by airplane, the closed airport is Frankfurt International airport. From there trains can be taken to Bad-Kreuznach every 2 hours for around 20 Euro. For those coming by train, there are connections from train stations all over Europe to Bad-Kreuznach.

Our preferred Hotel is the Business Comfort Hotel Bad Kreuznach.

I will certainly do a presentation of the area which has many historical attractions like old castles from the dark ages along the Rhine river, some of them are ruins, others have been renovated and are now hotels or fine restaurants. In addition the station will be presented and explained as well as a guided tour to the nuclear underground bunker. Other presentations might happen, but is not yet decided.

On Sunday the 21st of May 2023, we can meet at my contest QTH see photo on https://www.qrz.com/db/dk9py (2 miles away from the city center of Bad-Kreuznach), which has all facilities required for serving an afternoon coffee (or tea ?;) as well as barbeque grill station etc. If someone wants to use the radios, no problem, however no microphone will be available, but a selection of CW paddles.

This QTH was an ex-military location of the German Bundeswehr and was given up back to the German Government in 1997. It was offered in the newspaper and luckily I won the bid process. It was built in during 1960/1962 (during the cold war times). The German military had an independent telecommunication system and is protected against nuclear, biological and chemical weapons. I am sure that it will be quite interesting to see and I am happy to give you a guided tour through the underground facilities (40 ft below ground surface) that are all operational and maintained by myself.
